Introduced in 1989, the Ocean 32 Super Sport has the rakish profile and aggressive performance found in larger Ocean yachts as well as the interior comforts that have made Ocean models so popular with cruisers over the years. Indeed, shes a good-looking boat even today with a roomy cockpit and a surprisingly open interior layout. The galley-down floorplan (with no forward windshield) is arranged with a walkaround double bed in the stateroom, a feature normally associated only with larger boats. A convertible lounge and dinette are found in the salon, and headroom in most areas is well over 6 feet. Theres plenty of room in the cockpit for a mounted chair, and the flybridge will seat six with bench seating forward of the helm. Standard features included a central vacuum system, teak covering boards in the cockpit, a built-in fish box, cooler, and a tackle locker. Note that the engine room is a very tight fit. Twin 320hp Crusader gas engines cruise the Ocean 32 at about 23 knots (30 knots top). Optional 250hp Cummins diesels cruise economically at 22 knots (2526 knots wide open), and 300hp Cummins diesels cruise at 25 knots (nearly 30 knots top).
