A stretched version of the Ocean Alexander 548, the Ocean Alexander 610 is a contemporary pilothouse design whose handsome lines and quality workmanship are an easy match for most of her high-style European counterparts. Built on a modified-V hull with a shallow keel and prop pockets, the three-stateroom floorplan of the Ocean Alexander 610 will appeal to those who dislike the sunken galleys, small heads, and cramped engine rooms of most European designs. Because the galley and dinette are forward on the deckhouse level, the salon of the 610 is very expansive indeed. The pilothouse is three steps up from the salon and comes with a centerline helm, direct bridge access, and port and starboard deck doors. Typical of all Ocean Alexander products, the interior teak joinery is finished to high standards. Additional features include a spacious engine room with near standing headroom, underwater exhausts, a teak cockpit sole, radar arch, bow pulpit, and a large flybridge with seating for a small crowd. No racehorse, twin 735hp 8V-92 Detroit diesels (or 660hp Cats) will cruise the 610 Pilothouse at a respectable 20 knots and reach a top speed of 22–23 knots.
