A popular model for Navigator following her introduction in 1993, the 50 Classic is a raised pilothouse cruising yacht with conservative lines and spacious accommodations. Like most Navigator yachts of this era, the 50 Classic is built on a solid fiberglass hull with moderate beam and an integral swim platform. Although a two-stateroom floorplan was available, the majority of Navigator 50s have three staterooms consisting of a full-beam amidships master, portside guest cabin with over/under bunks, and forward VIP stateroom with island berth. Both guest staterooms share a large head with separate stall shower. The spacious salon of the Navigator 50 has a large settee with table to starboard and a barrel chair to port. A U-shaped galley with serving counter and tons of storage is forward to port in the salon. Interior woodwork is light maple. The salon and pilothouse are carpeted, and big wraparound windows provide panoramic views of the water. Topside, the large flybridge of the Navigator 50 is accessed from the pilothouse only and not from the cockpit as well. A modest performer, Volvo 370hp diesels cruise at 16–18 knots (20+ top).
