A popular boat during her production years, the Mako 293 is a big walkaround cuddy with just about every feature an angler could ask for on a boat this size. Shes heavily built on a deep-V hull with a solid fiberglass bottom, and wide walkways around the cabin provide good 360-degree fishability. The 293s uncluttered cockpit is large enough for two anglers and their gear, and visibility from the raised helm deck is excellent. Standard features include an integrated swim/dive platform, standup livewell, transom door, in-floor fish/storage boxes, tackle center, fresh/raw-water washdowns, deluxe helm seats, cockpit rod storage, anchor locker, integral bow pulpit, gunnel rod holders (4), transom shower, trim tabs, cushioned bow seat, cockpit lights, molded foredeck seat, and swim ladder. A factory hardtop and transom bench seat were popular options. Below deck, the 293s cozy midcabin interior features a galley with sink and fridge, enclosed head/shower compartment, teak and holly sole, and convertible dinette/V-berth forward. Wide side decks are a plus. No lightweight, the Mako 293 can reach close to 40 knots top with Mercury 250 outboards.
