The Luhrs 350 Convertible is a well-constructed flybridge cruiser with a large fishing cockpit and a roomy, well-appointed interior—a lot of bang for the buck by the standards of her day, and one of the smaller flybridge boats then produced by a major manufacturer. The 350’s rakish styling (note the darkened wraparound salon windows) was state-of-the-art when she came out in 1990, and an affordable price gave her an edge against most of her upmarket competitors. Standard features include a hardtop with electronics box, bow pulpit, transom door, livewell, bait prep station with sink and storage, generator, swim platform, cockpit lights, fresh/raw-water washdowns, cockpit bolsters, gunnel rod holders, and in-deck fish box. The original single-stateroom, mid-galley floorplan of the 350 Convertible was replaced in 1995 with a more popular two-stateroom, galley-up layout. The flybridge seats four, and the freestanding helm console has a pop-up electronic pod. The 350 Convertible is not remembered as having been one of Luhrs’ better-riding boats. Standard gas engines cruise at 18 mph; 350hp 3116 Cat diesels cruise in the low-to-mid 20s.
