In 1994 Tampa-based Lazzara Yachts introduced their first model, the Euro-inspired 76 Open Bridge (pictured above). Featuring a Sport Deck transom with twin garages and an integrated winch system for retrieving watercraft, the 76 was available with side decks or with a full-beam house (called the Grand Salon). Built on semi-vee hull with a wide beam and propeller pockets, the hull, deck, and superstructure—even the interior floors—are fully cored to reduce weight. Several interior layouts were offered, and a closed-bridge Skylounge was optional. Building on the success of this innovative yacht, a cockpit version, the 80 Cabriolet — with standard Skylounge and additional fuel — came out in 1998. Sharing the same hull, the additional six feet of running surface aft provides the 80 Skylounge with the versatility that only a cockpit can offer. The standard interior of the Lazzara 76/80 includes three staterooms on the lower level including an opulent master suite with king bed (and Jacuzzi), and two VIP cabins with queen beds and ensuite heads. Crew quarters, accessed from the common area, sleep four in two staterooms. MTU 1,150hp diesels cruise at 22–23 knots.
