Modern styling, comfortable accommodations, and a very competitive price were the main attractions of the 46 Marlago Sundeck, a roomy Taiwan import marketed by Jefferson throughout the 1990s. Built on a solid fiberglass hull with moderate beam and a long keel, the Marlago’s interior employs considerably less teak woodwork than earlier Jefferson models. Two floorplans were available: The galley-down version has a conventional dinette to starboard, and the alternate galley-up arrangement provides a larger salon with a built-in L-shaped dinette and space forward for a washer/dryer. In either plan, there are double berths in both staterooms, and a lower helm was standard in the salon. (Note the tub/shower in the aft head compartment.) Topside, wide walkarounds make it easy to get around the deck, and the flybridge is arranged with the helm forward and guest seating aft. Additional features include an aft-deck hardtop, molded bow pulpit, radar arch, and swim platform. Twin 315hp Cummins diesels cruise the Marlago at 15–16 knots, and optional 430hp Volvo diesels cruise in the low 20s.
