Sharing the graceful Down East lines of the original Hinckley Picnic Boat, the Hinckley T34 is a twin diesel jet boat intended for day trips with family and friends. Expensive boats like this are all about open-air entertaining with the emphasis on comfort and luxury. The single-level deck flows easily from the helm to the swim platform. There are two separate seating areas in the T34, one with facing curved lounges under the hardtop and the other with plush fore- and aft-facing seats in the cockpit. Where the original 36 Picnic Boat had a single engine, the T34 has twins which means no engine box taking up space in the middle of the cockpit. Below deck, the interior is finished in satin-varnished cherry wood and the cabin sole is varnished teak. A compact galley to port is more suitable for sandwiches and drinks that serious meal preparation. A standup head opposite the galley includes an electric toilet and sink with hand-held shower. Forward, the V-berths are large enough for two full-size adults. There are teak boarding steps on both sides of the cockpit, and a transom door provides easy access to the swim platform. Yanmar 260hp engines matched to Hamilton Jet Drives cruise at 26–28 knots.
