A showcase of design and craftsmanship, the Talaria 29C is the first center console ever built by Hinckley. This is proof that a center console can be a day boat as well as a fishboat, and her waterjet propulsion and shallow 18-inch draft allows the 29C to reach coves and inlets out of reach to a conventional inboard boat. With a price tag high enough to bring even wealthy buyers to their knees, the 29C is a very opulent small boat. Her structure is cored composite with an outer skin of Kevlar-reinforced fiberglass. Vinylester resin is used throughout to virtually eliminate the possibility of osmotic blistering. With comfortable seating for eight, the 29C has a transom settee in addition to a settee in the bow. The engine box doubles as an aft-facing passenger seat as well as the helm seat, and a roomy head compartment is fitted inside the console. The varnished teak helm station is a genuine work of art. Note that the console is positioned well aft, which produces a great ride in a chop. Additional features include a power-lift engine box, joystick steering, teak trim, teak swim platform, cockpit sink, and bow thruster. A relatively light boat, a single Yanmar 440hp diesel will cruise in the high 20s and top out at over 30 knots.
