A lot of yachts boast of performance and luxury in their advertising, and for the most part those claims are justified by the facts. Few, however, can include quality in the mix, at least not the level synonymous with the Grand Banks brand. The 59 Aleutian is a case in point; a compelling raised pilothouse cruiser whose timeless styling and luxurious amenities set the standards for this class of yacht. The salon layout for the 59RP features a large U-settee to port, surrounding a teak high-low table. Two barrel chairs are opposite, and an entertainment system is contained in the forward bulkhead cabinets. In the pilothouse, the galley is to port with a U-shaped countertop and generous storage space. Opposite the galley, on a riser for greater visibility, sits an L-shaped dinette around a teak dining table with folding leaves. There are three staterooms below including an opulent full-beam master, VIP double, and a guest cabin with twin beds. The third head holds the washer/dryer. Note the pass-thru between the galley and flybridge. Topside features include full teak decks, a curved cockpit stairwell, and a spacious flybridge with twin teak tables. Cat 1,000hp C18 diesels cruise at 2022 knots (mid 20s top).
