Unlike the classic Grand Banks trawlers of old with their low-speed, semi-displacement hulls, the 47 Heritage EU is one of the “new-generation” Grand Banks yachts with fresh styling and more agile—and faster—modified-V hulls. Introduced in 2007, the Heritage EU may be new under the skin but her Grand Banks pedigree is clearly evident in her signature Europa lines and meticulous, yacht-class finish. The standard salon layout for the 47EU features a U-settee to port surrounding a teak hi-low table. A settee is opposite, just aft of the Stidd helm seat. The large, open galley is arranged with an L-shaped granite countertop and microwave convection oven above the counter. Lower deck accommodations include a master stateroom forward with a queen island berth and ensuite head with shower. Further aft is the guest cabin with twin athwartships berths. Across the companionway is a second guest head with room for a washer-dryer. Note the frameless cabin windows. The 47EU’s roomy cockpit has a staircase ascending to her large flybridge with its centerline helm, wet bar, and pop-up instrument panel. Cruise efficiently at 14–16 knots with standard 500hp Cummins diesels.
