Obviously dated by today’s Euro-style cruisers, the Four Winns 365 was considered a stylish boat indeed when she was introduced back in 1991. (She also offered something unique and truly useless among family cruisers of her era—an optional Jacuzzi spa hidden below the island berth in the forward stateroom.) She was built on a conventional modified-V hull with a wide beam and prop pockets to reduce shaft angles and draft. Note the long, sweeping foredeck of the 365—the helm is well aft in this boat, thus reducing cockpit space in favor of an unusually spacious and wide-open interior. Sliding panels separate the forward berth from the salon, and the U-shaped midcabin lounge converts into a big double berth. Notable features include hidden foredeck lockers, a unique foldaway dinette table, excellent access to the engines and generator, a tilt steering wheel, side exhausts, and a unique air induction system designed to lower the risk of cockpit fumes. Crusader 350hp gas inboards (with V-drives) will cruise the Four Winns 365 at a respectable 18–19 knots (about 30 knots top), and optional 300hp Cummins diesels cruise at 20 knots and deliver around 26 knots wide open.
