One of the most distinctive Mediterranean yachts when she was introduced in 2013, the Ferretti 690’s sleek lines represented another significant development in Ferretti style, comfort and practicality. The exterior lines are modern and contemporary with large windows to let lots of natural light into the spacious, open interior. The aft galley is accessed from the open plan salon and dining area and can be opened via a sliding glass partition to the aft deck when enjoying drinks or meals outside. There are options for a three or four cabin layouts, both with a large, full-beam amidships owner's suite with large open view windows on both sides, walk-in wardrobe, sofa and a desk. Locating the bathroom and walk-in wardrobe towards the stern, behind the bed, increases privacy in the owner’s stateroom and the distance between this cabin and the engine room. Each guest suite also benefits from hull windows looking out to sea. The crew cabin for two is forward of the engine room and accessed from the aft deck. An innovative feature of the 690 is the hydraulic swim platform that will allow “standing” in the water and make it easy to launch a tender. MTU 1268hp 8V2000 V-drive diesels cruise at 26–28 knots (30 top).
