The Egg Harbor 35 Sport Fisherman is basically a lengthened version of the popular Egg Harbor 33 Convertible (198289). The cabin arrangements are the same as the 33s, and the extra length is used to create additional cockpit spacesomething the Egg 33 needed to make her into a good fishing boat. Indeed, the larger cockpit dimensions allow for the mounting of a full-sized fighting chair and still leave some room left over for the installation of a molded tackle center. Like all Egg Harbor boats of this era, the interior is a blend of traditional teak woodwork and attractive fabrics. The 35 Sport Fisherman was originally available with a two-stateroom, galley-up floorplan, or with a less popular single-stateroom layout with the galley down. In 1989, a new floorplan was introduced with a walkaround bed in the forward stateroom. Note that the water capacity was increased to 90 gallons in 1988. The extra hull length of the 35 SF gives a slight boost to her speed, and she actually runs a knot or two faster than the Egg 33. Standard 350hp gas engines cruise at around 19 knots (30 knots top), and optional 320hp Cat diesels cruise at 23 knots (about 27 knots top).
