The Edgewater brand has always been associated with quality, and nowhere is that more evident than with the 280 Center Console. Introduced in 2014, the 280 is built using Edgewater’s proprietary SPI (Single Piece Infusion) construction process to create a single, super-strong structural unit. Like all Edgewaters, the 280 is unsinkable which offers an extra margin of safety seldom found in this size range. The 280 also features a fully integrated hardtop with tempered-glass windshield providing the driver with unobstructed sightlines. The walk-in console features a nifty double-berth area complete with electric toilet and freshwater sink and shower. The leaning post comes with a sink, cutting board, storage drawers, rod holders, flip-up helm seats, and optional second livewell. An electric grill and refrigerator are also optional. With a wide 9'6"" beam, the 280 has plenty of cockpit space for a 28-footer. A concealed windlass is forward, and the U-shaped bow seats come with backrest bolster cushions. A 28-gallon transom livewell, two large insulated in-deck fish boxes, cockpit toe rails, transom door, and Lenco trim tabs are standard. Yamaha F250s reach a top speed of about 45 knots.
