Some boats age better than others, and the Cruisers 3370 Esprit (called the 337 Esprit in 1986–87) looks increasingly long in the tooth as the years roll by. That said, the Esprit’s appeal for today’s used-boat buyers lies in her spacious, wide-open interior, comfortable ride, and her sturdy construction. Like most Cruisers models of her era, the 3370 rides on a modified-V hull with prop pockets to reduce draft and shaft angles. Her midcabin floorplan is more open than most and the aft sleeper-sofa is actually a part of the salon. A bi-fold door separates the forward stateroom from the salon (a curtain is used for the aft berth), and the full galley has enough counter and storage space for serious food-prep efforts. The interior of the 3370 is well appointed with quality fabrics and furnishings although it’s obviously dated by today’s decor standards. Topside, the raised bridge deck includes a U-shaped settee aft of the helm seat—a very sociable seating arrangement. A bow pulpit, radar arch, and swim platform were standard. A good running boat in a chop, the cruising speed of the 3370 Esprit with twin Crusader gas engines is about 20 knots (28–30 knots top).
