The Chris Craft 36 Corsair is a throwback to the days when mahogany Chris Craft commuter boats and runabouts characterized the boating lifestyle just after the Second World War. The demand for wooden boats may be gone—Chris Craft continued building wood boats well into the 1960s—but there are plenty of boating enthusiasts, especially those with a few years under their belts, who grow nostalgic when they see one of these new-generation Chris Craft boats with their retro styling and immaculate craftsmanship. Indeed, the 36 Corsair seems to exist just to stop traffic at the dock.
