The 310 Signature — the first of two 310 Signature models from Chaparral in recent years — is a traditional midcabin express notable for her attractive styling and well-appointed interior. Chaparral builds a quality boat and the 310 stood apart from many other cruisers her size for her excellent tooling and above-average finish. Built on a modified V hull with cored hullsides and a solid fiberglass bottom, the 310’s open-plan interior sleeps six in a layout a little different from most 30-foot cruisers. An offset double berth is forward in the salon, and the 310’s full-service galley includes a built-in microwave, Corian counters, and generous storage. Cherry cabinetry, designer fabrics, and upscale furnishings highlight her entire cabin and her galley is notable for its generous storage. As many as six can be seated comfortably in the cockpit where a full wet bar, transom shower, and portable cooler are standard. Additional features include a transom storage locker, extended swim platform, power engine hatch, walk-through windshield, double helm seat with bolsters, and foredeck sun pad. Volvo 280hp sterndrive engines cruise the in the mid 20s (about 35 knots top). A new 310 Signature model was introduced in 2010.

With her distinctive styling and standard hardtop, the Chaparral 310 Signature offers boaters a sporty family cruiser with an impressive list of standard equipment. The layout of the 310 differs from most cruisers her size in that there’s no portside bridge deck lounger. Instead, an extra-wide companion seat (with flip-up bolsters) sits next to the helm—a design that eases the clutter around the companionway door. Standard features include an integrated swim platform, wet bar, transom shower, power engine room hatch, LED cockpit lights, tilt steering, transom gate, carry-on cooler, foredeck sun pad, cockpit table, trim tabs, and an aft-facing transom seat with storage under. Note that a forward hardtop hatch allows standing access through the opening windshield—no banged heads going forward. Below deck, the 310 Signature’s stylish interior sleeps 4–5 and features an L-shaped sofa whose center seatback forms an extension of the berth. Built on a Kevlar reinforced hull, twin 225hp 4.3L MerCruiser sterndrive engines cruise economically in the mid 20s and reach a top speed of nearly 40 knots.
