A stylish open-bow sportster with an integrated swim platform and tons of sex appeal, the Chaparral 287 SSX packs an impressive array of family-friendly features into a mid-size boat. With her enclosed head, double-wide helm seat, U-shaped cockpit seating, convertible aft sun lounge, and well-stocked wet bar, the 287 easily holds her own with the best bowriders her size on the market. Standard features include bow ice chest, cockpit table, galley with sink and ice chest, hinged bow cushions with storage under, walk-thru bow and transom doors, premium sound system, in-floor storage locker, tilt steering, trim tabs, extended swim platform, transom shower, cockpit lights, and lockable glove box. Docking lights and underwater lights are optional, and filler cushions turn the bow area into a huge sun pad. The custom steering wheel is a nice touch, as is the solid-surface countertop in the galley. Easy engine access is a plus. Note the concealed boarding ladder at the bow.
