The Carver 3807 Aft Cabin (called the Carver 390 Aft Cabin in 1993–95) is another in a series of best-selling yachts introduced by Carver in the 1980s. An impressive blend of sharp styling and efficient use of space, the Carver’s well-appointed interior offers the comforts and amenities generally found in a more expensive boat. The two-stateroom teak interior features a roomy main salon with convertible L-shaped sofa to starboard and dry bar with bottle and glass storage to port. The forward stateroom features an angled double berth, hanging locker, and private access to the guest head with stall shower. Aft of the head is the galley with full-size refrigerator, microwave, oven, and double sink. The aft stateroom has an offset double berth, large hanging locker, and private head with separate shower stall. With the dinette and salon sofa converted, there are berths for as a many as eight adults. Topside, the Carver’s aft deck dimensions are modest compared with other boats in her class. A hardtop, bow pulpit, foredeck sun pad, and swim platform were standard. No lightweight, standard 350hp Crusader gas engines cruise the Carver 3807/390 at 14–16 knots (low 20s top).
