The Boston Whaler 295 Conquest (called the 28 Conquest in 1998–2001) combines the fishability of a roomy, well-organized cockpit with the cruising comforts—and amenities—of many express cruisers. The Conquest was among the most popular boats in her class during her production years, and her quality construction and exceptional fit and finish remain impressive even by today’s rigid standards. Notable features include a molded bow pulpit with roller, 30-gallon lighted livewell, cockpit bolsters, in-deck fish boxes, aft-facing jump seat, cockpit lights, gunnel rod holders, cockpit rod storage racks, built-in tackle drawers, fresh/raw-water washdowns, foldaway stern bench seat, trim tabs, tilt steering wheel, and transom door. Below deck, the Conquest’s well-finished interior includes a convertible dinette/V-berth forward, midcabin berth aft, teak-and-holly sole, compact galley with fridge and microwave, and a standup head/shower compartment. Like all Whalers, the 28/295 Conquest is unsinkable. Twin 225hp outboards deliver a cruising speed of 25 knots and a top speed in the neighborhood of 40 knots.
