The 670 Convertible is one of the “new-breed” Bertrams developed following the 1998 purchase of the company by the Ferretti Group. She shares the same flowing lines seen in other recent Bertram models with the house well aft on the deck, a stepped sheer, and low cockpit freeboard. The hull is a deep-V, of course (in keeping with the Bertram tradition), however the 670’s prop pockets are a first for any Bertram hull. The Ferretti influence is most evident below decks where the standard four-stateroom, four-head interior is a lavish display of European elegance. The salon, which is open to the galley and dinette, is a blend of high-gloss cherry woodwork and expensive furnishings. The amidships master stateroom boasts a king-size bed and walk-in closet, and the bow VIP stateroom rivals the master is size and comfort. The cockpit is fitted out with the requisite fishing amenities—bait prep center, freezer, transom door, etc. A spiral staircase to the right of the salon door (redesigned in 2004) leads up to the huge flybridge with its U-shaped lounge, grill, and a concealed electronics console. MTU 2,000hp 16-cylinder diesels cruise the Bertram 670 at 32 knots (35+ knots wide open).
