The Monte Carlo 5 is a French-built flybridge yacht whose Italian retro styling is unique in a small motoryacht this size. Stepping aboard the sheltered aft deck, twin glass and stainless steel doors open into the MC5s bright and airy interior where the galley is positioned all the way aft. Forward and a step up is the salon with a U-shaped dinette to port and a small settee to starboard. Large windows flood the Monte Carlos salon with natural lighting. Further forward, the helm is open to the salon but side visibility is restricted by wide cabin supports. Below, the layout includes double cabins fore and aft, a small guest cabin in between and two heads. The full beam master features two huge circular portlights that offer panoramic views of the water. Another single berth can be fitted in the transom. The flybridge is huge and includes a wet bar, dining table and a vast sun pad opposite the helm. Wide side decks make getting around easy. The engine compartment is fairly roomy even with the aft crew cabin. A hydraulic swim platform and bow thruster are standard. Volvo 435hp IPS 600 pod drive diesels cruise at 2426 knots (28 knots top). The Monte Carlo 5S is a hardtop version of this boat.
