A very popular boat, the Back Cove 41 is a single engine sedan whose timeless styling, upscale accommodations and efficient operation hit the sweet spot in the Downeast cruiser market. The focus of well-appointed interior is on two comfortable staterooms, each with a private head. The center galley location serves the cockpit as easily as the salon. Below, the master stateroom is forward with island queen berth and ensuite head with shower. Opposite the main head is a day head with a door leading aft to the guest stateroom with an athwartships double bed tucked beneath the salon sole. Corner settees, an aft-facing jump seat and center transom door round out the cockpit, and wide side decks make getting around easy and safe. An electrically operated window in the aft bulkhead combines with a bi-fold glass door to open the main deck to the cockpit. A cockpit hatch provides access to the engines for routine checks while regular maintenance is performed via a powered hatch in the salon sole. Bow and stern thrusters are standard and this is the first Back Cove model with a deck door at the helm. A single Volvo 725hp inboard will cruise at 22–24 knots (mid 20s top).
