Viking Marine Group set to open its Valhalla Yacht Sales Showroom and Service Center

January 30, 2025

(Riviera Beach, Florida, January 29, 2025)—The Viking Marine Group held a ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday to mark the completion of the Valhalla Yacht Sales Showroom and Service Center.

“We’re extremely excited,” said Viking Yacht Company President and CEO Pat Healey. “We never stop investing in the future, and this $15 million project serves as the latest example of our commitment to offering our owners the best boats, service, and customer care. We’re also very proud to bring this valuable marine business development to Palm Beach County.”

This new facility, combined with the adjacent Viking Yacht Service Center (VYSC), creates one of the largest outboard boat sales and service centers in the country. Sitting on two acres, the two-story, 30,000-square-foot complex consists of two showrooms—one indoor and another indoor/outdoor—for displaying Valhalla Boatworks, Contender, and Sportsman boats. These expansive areas can hold more than 30 boats (depending on size), and there are two additional outdoor spaces for displaying boats.

More than 250 people attended, including Viking and Valhalla staff, dealers, and representatives from Sportsman and Contender boats. Additionally, several elected officials were in attendance, including Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick and Riviera Beach Mayor Ronnie Felder."

This project catapults the Broadway Corridor as we continue to develop our marine area and is ideal in what we are looking for in Riviera Beach," said Mayor Felder. "So, I’m very excited. This gives me great hope that Riviera Beach is on the ris

e and should act as a catalyst for future business development." Felder added that Viking has set a high standard that he hopes future projects will achieve.

The event coincided with the Viking and Valhalla VIP Boat Show happening this Friday and Saturday at the Viking Yacht Service Center adjacent to the showroom. The final touches to the new building and grounds are expected to be completed in the next few weeks, and the facility is expected to be open for business by the end of February.

Complete Experience

Located at the northeast intersection of Broadway Ave. and East 15th St., the facility includes ample office space for sales, service and support staff; an enclosed eight-bay service area with an overhead crane; and a covered customer delivery area.

“Valhalla Yacht Sales is excited to operate in a complex designed to maximize our sales and service capabilities,” says Ryan Higgins, VYS General Manager. “We believe it will have an immediate impact and offers unlimited potential for growth.” VYS provides customers with the ultimate ownership experience—from choosing options, accessories and color schemes to delivery and follow-up service. The design center allows customers to explore optional equipment and enhancements, including gelcoat colors, upholstery options, faux teak samples and outrigger selections. The showroom will also feature a pro shop with Valhalla, Sportsman and Contender merchandise, as well as hats, buckets, Yeti products and more.

The building is an attractive, modern structure with a glass façade on three sides, enhancing the visibility of the boats inside. The interior décor is unique, featuring more than a dozen fish mounts with photographs that highlight the tournament-winning legacy and success of Viking and its owners.

Additionally, a historical timeline mural spanning more than 100 feet on the second floor will showcase the evolution of the company and its yachts, as well as the significance of the Healey family’s ownership. The landscaping includes large green spaces, with on-site parking and an adjacent 104-space fenced car lot to the south. As part of the project, improvements to 15th St. were made, creating a corridor to Bicentennial Park, and anew public transportation bus shelter was established on Broadway.

“This project is going to be a huge win for the local community and business,” said Healey. “It boosts the marine industry in Palm Beach County and creates more economic growth and opportunities.”

At Your Service

In addition to facilitating new and brokerage yacht sales, the VYS complex provides a wide range of services and maintenance for owners of Valhalla, Contender and Sportsman boats, as well as other production brands. VYS will continue to utilize the VYSC’s in-water slips along with its boatyard equipment and machinery as needed. The new facility’s Parts Department is equipped with a 1,350-square-foot stockroom that enhances service operations and expedites turnaround times. Additionally, the complex includes a parts counter for retail purchases, supporting the three brands.

The Parts Department will ship items to customers wherever needed. With this expansion, VYS is growing its sales and service team while strengthening its presence in the brokerage sales market; it has dedicated space to display brokerage and inventory boats. VYS is an authorized dealer of Mercury Marine products and Yamaha Outboards.

This is the second showroom for Valhalla Yacht Sales. The first, which opened in March 2023 in New Gretna, New Jersey, also features a glass exterior and offers excellent visibility from Route 9, showcasing upwards of 20 boats. It also includes office space, a customer meeting alcove and a pro shop.
