Widely regarded as one of the most historic fishing towns in South Carolina, Georgetown is home to the first billfish tournament ever established in the state. The Annual Georgetown Blue Marlin Tournament, hosted at Georgetown Landing Marina, will celebrate its 57th year of competition. With direct access to the Georgetown Hole, an area known for producing blue marlin big enough to hit the scales, this tournament draws in eager participants and spectators.
