On November 1st, 1979, HMY Yacht Sales was formed; rented a floating office in Ft. Lauderdale, hired its first employee and set out to build a successful yacht sales firm. Forty years later, HMY is thriving!! Currently with 13 offices, a sales force of 45 professionals, supported by 40 dedicated team members, HMY handles all aspects of yacht sales, service, charter and yacht management.
Steve Moynihan first broke into the marine industry with a position at a yacht multiple listing firm in 1975. His first week on the job was at the Miami Boat Show. Steve’s position at the MLS eventually opened doors into yacht brokerage and then in 1977 when the license law required applicants to be 21 years old, Steve started a career in yacht sales.
