The Viking 82 Convertible represents the epitome of tournament-winning design. The expertise gleaned with over 50 years of in-house manufacturing puts the Viking name at the top of the list, and the 82C is yet another example of Viking's ability to easily showcase both powerful tournament level sport fishing prowess and luxury yacht elegance at the same time. This vessel is a real beauty, invoking envy from even the most prestigious of tournament anglers.
The curves and seamless lines of the Viking 82C make it a striking presence whether at dock or cruising down the intracoastal waterway. With a well-raked stem, a foredeck flush with a smooth crown, abundant headroom in a total of four staterooms make the 82 a masterpiece. Freeboard forward is nearly nine feet in length and a freeboard and three feet in the cockpit, allowing for the crew to easily release billfish when it comes time. The beam sports a 22-ft length and glides across the water effortlessly unlike anything you've seen in action.
The exquisite salon affords the owner the ability to easily entertain with plenty of room, styled with hand-finished teak wood and trim. Enter the salon through its electric sliding door into an incredible space including an L-shaped sofa with storage areas built in below while a 50-inch plasma screen provides for a luxurious ambiance as it rises out of the cabinetry on the starboard side.
A hand-selected granite provides more class as it adorns the galley with a dinette to port and bar stools for ocean-faring relaxation in utter luxury in between catching tournament winning marlin. The galley shows motoryacht class with gourmet appliances and enough storage to cruise the high seas for weeks on end.
Upon entering the master suite, located amidship, you can relax in a hot shower in the oversized fiberglass stall just away from the king-sized bed, dressing table, settee, entertainment system and chest of drawers for maximum stowage without sacrificing space. Down the way you will find three additional staterooms, having their own private shower and head.
Setting the bar even higher, the Viking 82C also sports an air-conditioned bridge with center helm seat forward flanked by electronic trolling valves and controls, with the electronics smartly hidden beneath clear acrylic panels for use in any weather condition and dual radio boxes. The starboard and port bench seats conceal additional storage below for rods, while a built in refrigerator and freezer and more are also found. For more elegance, you will sit in three Murray Products helm seats with teak ladder backs and stainless-steel pedestals and hardware for durability, comfort and superior vision while cruising.
With winning elements from the proven 74C heritage, the Viking 82C pushes over 250 square feet of available work space. Mezzanine decks, one of Viking's signature design elements, adorn the cockpit and flying bridge as well as overhang for additional shade while you play. This model also comes with misters for those hot days for the ultimate in luxury and comfort. Featuring fiberglass bait wells, fish and stowage wells, a deep and expansive transom and stainless-steel gas strut supports, this beauty has so many features it redefines what luxury yachting should be.
The Viking 82C sports a Palm Beach Towers custom tuna tower and elegant array of Atlantic Marine Electronics, proving it's readiness for long range cruising and serious tournament experiences.
Reaching a smooth 30 knots with its Caterpillar 1825 diesel engines puts you at a mid-30 knot range depending upon your load and weather conditions.
