Okean 55' Sport to Make its Debut at the 2018 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
Where to Find the Hottest Fall Fishing Action
Five of HMY's Largest Brokerage Boats at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
The Viking Yacht Company is committed to building a better boat every day and the new Viking 62 Convertible is a true testament to that pledge. Fitting into the Viking tradition like a glove, the 62 Convertible is a fish raising machine with family friendly capabilities. The features on this latest sportfish model are a representation of everything we know and love about world famous Viking Yachts.
After a day of fishing action on the 62 Viking, you'll be able to find relaxation in the air conditioned salon. Enter the spacious deckhouse through the electric sliding fiberglass door and with nearly 19 feet of beam you'll feel like you're aboard a much larger boat. Salon amenties include a comfy L-shape lounge and cocktail table to port, and a 46-inch flat screen television that rises from the hand-finished walnut cabinetry on the starboard side. The adjacent L-shape galley includes premium appliances, granite countertops, and an island with a pair of bar stools opposite the dinette with its walnut table.
The Viking 62 offers the convenience and flexibility of four staterooms, an ideal layout for tournament fishing and family cruising. The master suite has a walk-around king-size and flanking end tables, a pair of maple lined hanging lockers, a credenza and a 32-inch flat screen television along with an ensuite head with custom treatments including a one-piece full-length glass shower door and a sculpted vanity with a custom granite countertop and satin nickel fixtures.
The guest stateroom forward has a queen bed and a private head with shower. Crossover berths also can be ordered for this stateroom.
Two port staterooms offer comfortable accommodations. The aft stateroom has side-by-side berths, while upper and lower berths are provided in the forward stateroom. Additional privacy is afforded by separating these staterooms with the yacht's third head and shower, and a laundry center.
The flying bridge, like all the latest Viking models, offers a center console helm station, three pedestal seats with ladder backs, port, starboard and forward lounge seating with stowage beneath each one, a freezer and a chill box for drinks.
The ingenious design of the bi-level 172 square-foot cockpit is gauranteed to optimize your fishing experience. On the upper level, another Viking innovation, the observation mezzanine keeps guests cool and dry thanks to the flying bridge overhang, as well as clear of the crew working in the lower cockpit. Lifting the hinged seat lids exposes a freezer, and engine room access. A lower level compartment stows bulky gear, while tackle drawers are built into a molded console to starboard. A refrigerated drink box doubles as the salon entrance step. The lower level cockpit is professionally equipped with flush rod holders, fresh and raw-water wash down systems, a transom fish box, rounded comings with indirect rope lighting below, side lockers for tag stick and gaff stowage, a quick disconnect fitting for oil changes for the engines, transmissions and generator, port and starboard in-deck insulated fish and stowage boxes, and stereo speakers to name just a handful of the standard features. The lazarette also has been prepped for the installation of a Seakeeper gyro stabilizer at the factory or a later date.
