Why European-Built Motor Yachts Are Hot In 2019
Record-Breaking Pelican Yacht Club Billfish Invitational
Boot Düsseldorf 2017 has kicked off in Germany and it is known as the world’s largest indoor boat and watersports trade show in the world featuring 17 massive halls and more than 2.3 million square feet of exhibit space right in the heart of North Rhine-Westphalia. The 900-year-old city lies along one of the busiest waterways in the world, the Rhine River. The 48th annual installment of Boot Düsseldorf runs from Jan. 21 to 29, 2017, and approximately 1,800 exhibitors from more than 60 countries are displaying their latest and greatest maritime offerings. Two of our HMY Yachts Sales Professionals spent some quality time at the show over the weekend. HMY brokers John Strader and John Haucke were in attendance perusing through the latest offerings from the major European boat builders including, most importantly, the newest models from our manufacturing partner, Princess Yachts.
The star of the show is undoubtedly the brand new Princess Yachts 30 Meter motor yacht, shown here on the stand in the main hall of the Düsseldorf Messe Center.
This spectacular five stateroom luxury vessel is the largest yacht to appear at Boot Düsseldorf 2017 and it offers the latest in technology and amenities including a hydraulic side deck "porch", main deck master suite, hidden tender garage, and crew space for up to five crew members. These amazing features make the Princess 30M ideal for either private use or charter service. Interest in this new motor yacht is very strong with retail orders for hulls one through nine already in hand.
The other exciting new Princess Yachts model premier at the show is the incredible Princess Yachts V40, the successor to the popular V39. The Princess V40 offers more amounts of space, a sleek unified cabin window line in the hull sides, and several other updates and improvements to its predecessor. As with its big cousin the Princess 30 Meter, the V40 sport cruiser is already booked for multiple deliveries.
All in all, the Düsseldorf Boat Show continues to grow larger and make more of an impact in the yachting and boating industry with each new year. If you can't work a trip to Germany into your schedule, we'd love to have you join HMY Yacht Sales at the Princess display on Collins Avenue on Miami Beach next month during the Yachts Miami Beach Show. Princess will be debuting several highly-anticipated new models at the Miami Show including the Princess 88 Flybridge Motor Yacht, the Princess 75 Flybridge Motor Yacht, the Princess S60, and the Princess V58. We hope to see you there! Meanwhile, "Auf Weidersehen" from HMY's John & John at the Düsseldorf Boat Show.
