Gearing Up For Yachts Miami Beach 2017

By HMY Contributor   January 10, 2017

Returning to beautiful Collins Avenue on Miami Beach this February 16th - 20th is Yachts Miami Beach 2017, and as it has for nearly 30 years, the show promises to be one of the greatest yachting experiences in the world. The HMY Yacht Sales team will be out on the docks with an impressive lineup of both sportfish and euro-built motor yachts at Yachts Miami Beach, including new models premiering from Viking Yachts, Princess Yachts, and Cruisers Yachts. At the 29th annual installment of Miami's premier in-water yacht show, Yachts Miami Beach will feature a totally revamped look and layout for the 2017 event which is located directly across from the famed Fontainebleau and Eden Roc hotels.

Show Management and the International Yachts Brokers Association, which co-own the show, tasked the EDSA, one of the world’s most prestigious design firms, with the transformational re-design of Yachts Miami Beach 2017. EDSA is well-known for creating many incredible environments for renowned destinations ranging from Atlantis in the Bahamas to the John F. Kennedy Space Center and many of Disney’s signature resorts. In a statement from Show Management, its Senior VP and COO Dane Graziano said, of EDSA, “They have translated our vision for engagement between exhibitors and buyers into a new, strategic and aesthetically pleasing design for Yachts Miami Beach. We have expanded show marketing this year to share our excitement about this great new experience planned for Miami Beach boat show weekend in February.”

Spanning in excess of a mile along Collins Avenue from 41st Street to 54th Street, the show’s new and improved layout enhances its scenic, waterfront location along Indian Creek Waterway. Show attendees will enter through one of five artfully designed entrances, each with attractive directional graphics and an information booth. Admission to the show is $20 per person, per day. For the first time ever, guests can arrive at the show aboard free water taxis, connected to new, convenient parking locations. The vessels included in the show will be separated into new-build and brokerage sections, and the venue at Super Yacht Miami at Island Gardens Deep Harbour on Watson Island is expected to include more than 20 superyachts.

Yachts Miami Beach on Collins Avenue is not to be confused with another well-known Miami boat show going on simultaneously the weekend of February 16 - 20. The Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show is taking place at the Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin and will feature boats on a smaller scale than Yachts Miami Beach with a majority of their product exhibits being geared toward the center console market.
