Last week, the Viking Yachts 93 Motor Yacht waved goodbye to the production facility where she came to life for a final time and she now patiently waits to perform her first sea trial which will be conducted after the Fourth of July weekend. The Viking team is understandably fired up about their largest yacht-to-date's maiden voyage. President and CEO Pat Healey Pat Healey calls the 93 a "super-sized" motor yacht. "Everything from the engineroom to the staterooms to the showers to the galley to the salon is big, accommodating and comfortable. In this country and in all of the Americas, people like big, and that's what we're giving them."

Transporting the 214,000 lb, 93 foot motor yacht from her cradles to the prep dock, Viking had to use thier 150-ton Travelift which weighs a whopping 105,000 pounds itself and moves at a slow but steady pace of 100 feet per minute. At 33 feet tall the machine has an inside clearance width of 28 feet.

Maximum on board security is provided to guests by the Viking 93's wide teak-covered sidedecks and high railing. The foredeck will certainly be a favorite place to enjoy time outdoors with ample padded seating and lounges that house exansive storage compartments beneath. One more hatch lid is to be installed before the entire area is fully finished.

The spacious galley was built with walnut hardwoods and veneers and it is equipped with top-of-the-line appliances, such as a Miele four-burner cooktop and Miele convection oven below, a separate Miele Speed Oven and a full-size Sub-Zero stand-up refrigerator/freezer. A 32-inch Samsung HD TV is perched in the corner, in perfect view for guests sitting at the galley's island. Caesarstone tops all of the countertops.

The Viking 93 MY went back for another dip in the water on June 26 so her engines could be turned over. She'll be hauled out one last time and then launched again for the long-awaited sea trial in early July. Viking will hold a private showing of the 93 MY at the Viking Dealer Meeting and Sea Trial Event, September 11-13 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. If you're as excited as we are to see this motor yacht masterpiece in person, be sure to head to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show starting November 1, 2017, where she will make her public debut.

Two weeks ago, the extraordinary Viking Yachts 93 Motor Yacht got her feet wet in the Bass River for the first time. Once she exited Viking's New Gretna production facility which she has called home since construction began last fall, the first order of business for the 93 was to introduce her to the water and give her some fuel. It took a day and a half to fill her up with the maximum capacity of 3,150 gallons of diesel.

Once topped off and free from the lift straps, the 93 Motor Yacht was moved to the middle of the basin. While floating, Viking production, design and engineering teams on board tested her systems and confirmed measurements. This boat is as beautiful as she is big, tipping the scales at 213,318 pounds with an overall length of 93' 5" and a generous beam of 24' 4". For now she proudly holds the title as the largest yacht Viking has ever built.

After recording her remarkable measurements, the 93 was hauled back into the plant to recieve the finishing touches before her official launch and startup. The Viking 93 (bow in, right side) will be back at it in the water later this month. "We'll turn the engines over for the first time and take her through an initial sea trial to record performance numbers, run the systems and basically check everything," says Al Uhl, Viking Vice President of Manufacturing.

After months on the production line, full steam ahead, hull number one of the Viking Yacht Company's flagship vessel, the Viking 93 Motor Yacht, has splashed for the first time. It has been announced that this luxury motor yacht of epic proportions will be making her highly-anticipated world premier at the 58th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November 2017.

From start to finish, Viking's latest and largest project to date cruised down the production line at a steady pace. There's nothing quite like watching a 93 foot luxury vessel come together on a production line, and it has been incredible to witness each construction milestone as this amazing motor yacht was brought to life.

Looking more and more like the highly-anticipated finished product with every passing day, the Viking Yachts 93 Motor Yacht is an impressive site to behold from all vantage points.

With a proud raked bow, sharp entry and significant amount of freeboard, the Viking's flagship motor yacht will, once complete, offer an exceptionally smooth and seaworthy ride ensuring guests and crew travel from one destination to the next in ultimate comfort.

From the stainless steel gas pistons holding open the two centerline foredeck hatches that transform into sun pads to the stunning tear drop hull-side windows that span the length of the owner's suite, the attention to detail that Viking's team of talented shipwrights puts forth into the vessel is clear to see.

Draft has been maximized and drag reduced by mounting rudders, running gear and props on the inside of the hull pockts. The hydraulic lifts for the spacious swim platform are mounted outboard of each pocket.

This image illustrates the enormity of just how much interior volume is to be found in the 93 MY's enclosed bridge with the salon taking center stage. For this space like all others on the the vessel, the goal of Viking designers and engineers was to plan interior accommodations and the centerline helm station by taking advantage of the upper deck's vast size while balancing visual quality with intended purposes. The large windows, ample sunroof and perfectly placed overhead lightting combine to create a welcoming and bright space.

The 93 Motor Yacht now stands as the largest Viking yacht ever built at the New Gretna facility and she will launch in late summer in preparation for a private unveiling to the dealer network in September in Atlantic City. Following the private debut will be the world premiere of the Viking 93 Motor Yacht at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November 2017. The crafstmen at Viking are hard at work and the motor yacht is taking shape right on schedule. Below you can check out the amazing progress being made on this luxury motor yacht of epic proportions with exclusive photo and video updates of each milestone in Viking's build process.

The foredeck of the 93 Motor Yacht is home to a vast island configuration sun lounge, one of many alluring areas designed for total relaxation and comfort. The area is functional, too, with a mulititue of storage compartments.

With it's expansive, artfully contoured hull-side windows you can easily see the Viking 93 MY is designed to bring the outdoors in. An abundance of natural light will flood into the spacious salon with its luxury amenities that include a leather-appointed lounge area and a formal dinner table with seating for eight guests.

In galley, which is located foward, several of its main components are now in place or will soon be ready to for installation, such as the island counter, cabinetry, and high-end appliances.

This incredible video gives a look inside the process of installing the Viking 93 Motor Yacht's deck house, which gives the tri-deck vessel its distinctive appearance.

The upper level of the 93 Motor Yacht serves as the enclosed bridge deck, which combines the helm and upper salon areas. The exansive aft deck will be dedicated to outdoor enjoyment with lounges, wet bar, electric grill, alfresco dining table, and casual seating.

Even in this early stage of the construction game, you are completely aware of the spaciousness of the salon. In the coming weeks this space will come together with beautiful walnut joinery that will create a welcoming atmosphere, while the large windows will bring in lots of light and panoramic views.

Consistently at the forefront of innovation in the yachting industry, the Viking Yacht Company has officially launched their latest project - the development of the totally new Viking Yachts 93 Motor Yacht. Over the past two years, the world-renown shipyard headquartered in New Jersey has made a big splash with their re-entrance into the motor yacht arena with the debuts of the Viking 75 Motor Yacht and more recently the Viking 82 Cockpit Motor Yacht. The new 93 Motor Yacht will now stand as the fleet's flagship and it promises to make a fabulous addition to the wildly successful series. While the design of the Viking 82 CPMY was entirely based on the first-born Viking 75 motor yacht, the 93 Motor yacht is a fresh concept and brings a completely new project to the table.

The Viking 93 is a tri-deck motor yacht that boasts a spacious beam of 24.2 feet and a maximum draft of 5.9 feet. It features a fantastic, enclosed skylounge that will provide a climate-controlled observation area perfect for taking in the views and socializing in utmost comfort. For now, further details on the 93 motor yacht are being kept under wraps, with the layout and accommodations still open to customization, but the engine set-up has been confirmed.

Power will come from a pair of 1,920hp MTU V12 2000 M96Ls, which Viking estimates will propel the 93 to a top speed of just under 27 knots and a cruising speed of around 24 knots. Currently, the hull of the first 93 Motor Yacht has just completed the infusion process on the production line and is on schedule to be launched in August of 2017. The legendary shipyard has stated that it has plans to showcase the first Viking 93 motor yacht for public viewing at the 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

There is a lot of large-scale yacht build activity going on at the Viking Yachts plant with several other big projects currently underway including the 92 Enclosed Bridge Double Barrel, which is nearing completion for a repeat client. The industry-leading boat builder plans to launch an extraordinary grand total of 17 yachts measuring more than 78 feet in length overall in 2017, and that number includes nine hulls in the very popular Viking 92 sportfish line.
