Megadock Billfish Tournament
Charleston, SC

The 8th Annual HMY-Viking Megadock Billfish Tournament was held July 7-10 at the City Marina in Charleston, SC. 62 boats competed over 3 days in several categories of fish. 14 blue marlin, 3 white marlin and 63 sailfish were caught and released. The overall winner BENCH MARK, released 1 blue and 5 sailfish.

REEL PASSION, owned by Bill Ingram, took home second place by releasing two blue marlin on Friday, and a sailfish on Saturday. SECOTAN finished third by releasing three sailfish and a blue marlin.

Tram Colket’s 50 Viking Miss Magnolia caught the winning dolphin at a little over 50 lbs. The angler was Viking yachts captain Ryan Higgins (left in cockpit) who proved he is as good an angler as boat captain. Tim Gredick (right in cockpit) from HMY was the gaff man and Zack Lynam was there to assist.
