Princess Yachts is in the process of launching the eagerly anticipated addition to their popular flybridge line. The all-new Princess 49 was recently put to the test during her first sea trial and she gave a stellar performance.

The latest manifestation of the favored Princess modified deep-V hull offers thrilling acceleration and a very easy transition to plane. The test run which revealed a smooth, tight turning circle and assurance-inspiring handling suggests that the new Princess 49 will triumph in performance for flybridge yachts in this size range. Cutting through seas at speeds of up to 35 knots* and cruising economically at 30 knots*, the 49 delivers a fun and enjoyable ride on both fronts. She combines the cutting-edge IPS pod drive system with a modified deep-v hull to achieve the ease of handling and maneuverability.

Guests can expect to experience unbeatable, spanning views atop the Princess 49 flybridge. The social arrangement of the flybridge incorporates a twin helm seat, convertible L-shaped sofa that transforms into a sunpad and generous seating aft with table. It is also standardly fitted with a refrigerator with options to include a wetbar and BBQ. The class-leading spaciousness of the deck saloon is enhanced by the exceptionally social layout. The inviting interior comes alive with natural light from the panoramic windows and has an ingenious aft-galley layout which can be fitted with a full-height fridge/freezer. Below deck, there’s a full beam owner’s stateroom, a forward guest cabin with the option of scissor berths and a generous two berth starboard cabin.

Across the board, from exhilarating performance to ideal sociability, this is a yacht that simply feels like it’s in a class of its own. The North American debut of the Princess 49 will be later this year at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
