Like any Viking Yacht sportfish, the mid-size 37 Billfish was born ready and willing to chase big game fish in locales near and far. Her day boat style allows seamless access to the well-sized 86 square-foot cockpit equipped with a bait freezer, tackle stowage, a transom door with lift gate, insulated fish boxes and a transom live well. At the end of a successful day of fishing there is plenty of space to unwind in the comfortable salon area with U-shape dinette and fiberglass table that also converts to a bunk, opposite a cushioned lounge. The Viking 37 Billfish gives you the opportunity to relax inside a climate controlled environment - something you can't find on a larger center console boat.
Enhancing the day boat design is the lower helm station which will please all types of anglers with convenient, quick access to the cockpit. Also a plus is the shelter the helm station provides from the elements. Whether you’re a northerner planning to fish throughout the winter months or a southern fisherman needing to escape the summer heat, the lower helm station will be much appreciated. The flybridge helm, topped off by a fiberglass hardtop, features a center console command station with single level controls, hydraulic steering, a pedestal helm chair, side lounges and jump seats.
While the Viking 37 Billfish is aimed at fishermen, her interior offerings represent a true dual-purpose vessel that appeals to family cruising. Thanks to almost 14 feet of beam, the Viking 37 Billfish is generously spacious below decks. Amtico vinyl flooring and high gloss teak joinery come standard. In the bow is the private stateroom that can accommodate either a queen bed or over and under berths. Storage options are plentiful in the stateroom with cedar-lined hanging lockers, starboard hull-side cabinetry, under berth drawers and a fishing rod shelf. The room is completed by 20 inch flat screen TV and entertainment system. The L-shaped galley has everything needed for extended traveling. It features Corian countertops, a stainless-steel sink, electric cooktop, microwave, under counter refrigeration and ample cabinet space. The air conditioned head includes a fiberglass shower stall, a vanity with sink and a mirrored medicine cabinet.
Standard power on the Viking 37 Billfish is a pair of Cummins QSB 6.7 diesels with 550 mph. This vessel will deliver cruise speeds to 30+ knots and a top end approaching 36 knots, depending on load, sea and environmental conditions. Each engine and other machinery is located beneath electrically powered hatches in the salon helm deck area.
