The world-renown Viking Yacht company continues to dazzle the sportfishing industry with the introduction of new and exhilarating models. Just recently launched in November at the 2015 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show was the Viking 80 Convertible, which has already sold several hulls into next year. Scheduled to be unveiled at the Miami International Boat Show in February of 2016 is the newest addition to the 48' fleet - the Viking 48 Convertible.

The new 48 Convertible is a striking addition to the legendary Viking product line up with attractive styling and an impressive three stateroom layout, showcasing Viking's distinguished construction and attention to detail.

Beginning with the resin-infused beamy hull, the new convertible carries its breadth farther aft for more interior volume, a wider cockpit, and more running surface. Powered with MAN diesels, the 48 Convertible will cruise at 30 knots with a top end in the mid-30 knot range depending upon engine selection, load, sea and other environmental factors. The raked entry and forward chine are designed to pierce through head seas and divert spray downward. Convex hull sections add curvature and form to the running surface, while molded running strakes accentuate lateral tracking and maneuverability.

The Viking 48 Convertible proves to be yet another true blue-water champion in spirit, performance, accommodations, and evolutionary prowess in the Viking tradition. There is no better 40'-50' sportfishing yacht on the market today than what is produced out of the Viking factory in New Gretna, New Jersey.
